I’m a 30-something stay-at-home home-educating mum-of-3.
This blog is for me and my seemingly ever-more useless brain, for looking back on in months or years to come and achieving total recall with a tear in my eye or a ‘WOW, we did actually ‘do’ stuff’ type comment (hopefully!) . . . . anyway, there’s me - ‘the witch’ / Emma / pixieminx - (take your pick, I’ll answer to all!), the grumpy troll (Alex or DH), our 2 gorgeous girly faeries - Natalie (8) & Hermionie (3), and our latest arrival Rowan the Pixie.

(please note: this is by no means an in-depth description of our days - our ‘education’ happens in many ways - lots and lots of talking, questions, reading, drawing, writing, playing and doing stuff on the Macs that I won’t write about so don’t assume that what you read is all we do! … oh and I forget an awful lot!)

I like:
My kids • My hubbie • Our pets (currently 1 Ginger Tom and 2 Chickens, 3 Giant African Land Snails & 2 Rex Rabbits) • Macs and other Apple products • taking photos (should take more! - Flickr’s looking a little empty 
) • going for walk at 3am (although having kids put paid to that!) • U2…. and while we’re on the subject of music - Coldplay, Hothouse Flowers, Big Country, Pele, Meatloaf, Levellers, Pearl Jam, REM, Cranberries, Sarah McLachlan, Snow Patrol, Killers & Don Williams • Singing whilst no-ones listening…. if drunk - singing whilst anyones listening • Creating ‘puter graphics • being hands on ‘arty’ • Discovering new landscapes, National Parks & Waterfalls • Bu**ering around with Wordpress • Getting out on my bike • Southern Comfort • Tea • Essential Oils • Bucking the ‘norm’ where possible! • Janey Lee Grace Books (please write more!!) • Branston Pickle (Only the small chunks mind) • Scouting round charity shops, car boots and school fayre’s (on the road to total frugality!)
