‘…a pixie, the faeries, a grumpy troll and the witch’

er, ok it’s actually now a quarter or so past Jan 2nd but hey!!
Brief rundown of today (and New Year’s from the looks of it!) for diary/me gone insane and lost my brain purposes is as follows:

Got up rather on the wrong side of the day at about 1pm but it’s New Year’s day and it’s kinda traditional (with me anyway!) but that was down to consuming a rather unhealthy mixture of alcoholic drink to see the New Year in with - don’t get me wrong last night was great, everyone invited turned up (eventually - honestly WHO has a party for New Year’s starting on New Year’s Day??? - YKWYA!) we played a whole host of buzz and singstar, kids ran round all quite nicely together, lovely to see them pairing off and playing their own games. Didn’t see much of N & H tbh but I know they both a had a great time with all the family/friends around….anyway, yes getting drunk- errrggh! not doing that again, at least not for a while (he he!).

So yes, up at 1pm - that’s enough of that for a year, that’s my New Years resolution to get up and get on with it (or a Nike say - “Just Do It!”) yes that’s my motto for 2007 just bl***y do it, stop all the procrastinating and the lists and “Just Do It!” - yeah let’s see how long that one lasts - oh and of course, lose 2 stone!!

So got up, A already had the kids up (they graced the day with their appearance at about 11am!!) did some tidying after last night - we had done most of it b4 we went to bed tho - can’t stand doing all the next morning - kids were watching the electronic babysitter (herein referred to as tv) and playing with new toys, N made a great (and symmetrical - shapes and colours) model of what looked like a plane out of the hexagonal shape things (name escapes me - possibly constructagons) that I bought H to play with - see if I bought it for N, she more than likely wouldn’t look twice at it! We all went for a walk in Park Wood, A spent much of his younger life there and didn’t know it existed - would have shortened his paper round bless him! It started to r-a-i-n (yes we spell it, not say it!) THE SECOND we got of the car! - nice walk- looks completely different from when we were there towards the end of Autumn ‘06. A took a long (nostalgic!) tetley-tea-tour drive around his old haunts on the way home. Tidied some more, kids play r&t with A, I spent some time on the g5 and for some reason decided to try and potty train H! - we succeeded - well we ended with some no1 in the potty - so some sucess anyway - 3 pairs of brand-new fifi pants, 1 eeyore sticker and 2 halves of a mini dairy milk later and I’d call that success! - bless her - we’ll try again on Wednesday when I’ve got her 2 myself - must remember not to stress the poor kid out! We had spag bol (fav!) for dinner, tidied some more (possibly another New Years resolution - “stop tidying so much” - or stop watching Anthea and making myself feel bad!) A & N played more buzz, slammed more washing in (MiL said I’d drown someone if I put washing in on Jan 1st - hey ho!) and so now to bed to watch Torchwood..and re-distribute the items needing home/sorting clothes etc grrrrghh!
It’s now 00:53 - will I won’t I get up when the alarm goes off????
